Hi, I'm Racheal, and today we went into the computer lab and took a quiz. We had to read a story on the American Revolution and then answer questions about it. It was cool because the computer graded it, and we could have 2nd chances. We lost points when we did that though, so it was better to look back rather than guess!
After the quiz, we went to storylineonline.com and listened to famous people read us books. I chose six stories to listen to, and when I was finished, I took AR tests on all of them.
After all that, we went back in the class room to do math. We practiced math facts with wrap-ups. You have to match facts using string as fast as you can go! Then we reviewed all of the math we've learned so far! (place value, rounding, number properties, and prime and composite numbers)
After math, we have recess. I play kickball. My team lost. After that, we had lunch. We ate chicken nuggets. Yum!
We had Title I Science where we re-do science 4 with Ms. Berilla.
In art, Mrs. Chilson snuck in math! We learned that congruent means the same size and the same shape. We used a ruler to make an intricate (that means complicated) design. Then we colored all of the congruent shapes the same color.
Then we had our real science class. In 5th grade science, we are learning about the characteristics of living things. This week we are learning the parts of the cell!
Our day ended with a crazy vision test right before we got on the bus!
